indurated souls
when you are hit by a tempest of emotions...
when you are lost in an endless test...
when you feel pain piercing right through...
when your struggle bears no sign of rest...
all that is left is an indurated soul!!
when you know you cannot face the storm coming...
when you know its a point of no return...
when you know nothing can make a difference...
when futility is the lesson you are destined to learn...
all that is left is an indurated soul!!
when you want to scream and yet you cannot...
when holding on seems too hopeless a chance...
when you are surrounded by nothing but defeat in all..
when life throws at you a mocking glance...
all that is left is an indurated soul!!
and yet indurated souls could fight a war,
with no feeling of happiness or despair...
and yet they could live a life sublime,
with no pride or shame or concern or care...
because they have been hardened way too much,
because they have withheld the strongest test,
because they have suffered the times of worst,
and they have given up their very best...
but when the world says you can,
and still you wont,
thats when you know you are left,
with an indurated soul!!

u compliment me much more on here than u do in person..dont u think u should work on that? :-/
indurate - apt word (went to the dictionary to look at it), used effectively in your poem with the twist in the last para. Nice one.
Should all poems speak of some kind of longing / despair? (your last 3 poems have an undercurrent of it :)) Maybe you like Shelley's quote that "Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thoughts".
thats really a nice one.......keep going.....
Good dispatch and this post helped me alot in my college assignement. Thanks you seeking your information.
